Saco River Cam – Privacy Policy

The Saco River Cam is a personal, non-commercial livestream of the Saco River in Biddeford, Maine, operated by the Dangercat family (contact: carlsonsimsfamily@gmail.com).

What the “rivercam” Google app does
The rivercam app is used only by the channel owner. It connects to the owner’s own YouTube account through the YouTube Data API to check whether the livestream is running and, if it has stopped, to start a new live broadcast. It does not access any other person’s Google or YouTube account.

Information collected
The app does not collect, store, sell or share personal information about viewers or anyone else. The only credential it keeps is the owner’s own authorization token, stored on the owner’s private server, which can be revoked at any time at
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The video
The camera points at the river. It is framed to avoid showing people’s homes up close, and no audio is broadcast. Viewers watch on YouTube, which is governed by YouTube’s own terms and Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
